iBL - ilectric Blacklist Lookup Service
The ilectric Blacklist Lookup ("iBL") is a service that enables applications to lookup IP addresses in blacklists powered by our highly efficient API servers. The Blacklists are provided by
BlockScript and include hosting providers, bad bots, proxy servers, open proxies, PlanetLab CoDeen proxies, and Tor exit nodes.
Here are some of the things you can do with the ilectric Blacklist service:
- Programmatically block and allow access to website users.
- Fight fraud and prevent abuse.
- Reduce spam postings to contact forms, blogs, forums, and other forms.
- Secure sensitive areas of websites such as shopping carts and online voting systems.
- Block proxies.
- Check a list of IP addresses against our blacklists.
